- Arts and Crafts - Crayon rub over changeable raised image plates
- In the late 70's early 80's I had a toy that had changeable textured plates with superheros and villians. You would put a piece of paper in it and lower a frame that held the paper. There were 3-4 plates to make each image. They would also flip over with alternate images on the reverse side. Who made it and what was it called?? Thanks

- Baby and Playground toy set
- Growing up (1987 up until probably 1997 ish) I had this toy set, of these little plastic babies, who had diapers that were each a different colour. There were maybe about 8 or 12? Each diaper was a pastel colour, and had numbers on them. The set had a playground, you could get, swings, merry-go-rounds, possible slides and more? i only had the merry go round and swings. But the playground pieces have numbers on them too, and the baby with the corresponding number would go into that spot. The playground pieces were white (and with the numbers and colours of the corresponding plastic baby) I know they are probably out there somewhere, but don't know what they are called, and can't find anything about them on the internet. Can anyone tell me ANYTHING about them... what they are called, or even a picture or where to find it? thanks

- Battery powererd tank 1960's
- I had a toy tank that was battery powered. The batteries were held in a plastic controller teathered to the tank. The controller would drive the tank forward , reverse left or right. What made this toy unique, and I can find no info on it as of yet, is that it came with some metal discs about 2-3 inches in diameter and about an 1/8th inch thick. They were land "mines". The object of the game was to hide the land mines under a supplied mat that was printed to look like battle terrain. You then attempted to drive the tank over the mat without hiiting the mines. If you did come in contact with a mine, it would be pulled upward into the bottom of the tank by a magnet device on the bottom of the tank. This would cause mechanical spring loaded mechanism to realease the turret top and gun and it would pop off as if it exploded . Then you could resety and rehide the mines. The object was to get thetank from one side of the mat to the other without hitting the hidden mines....Any ideas?

- Big Jim with rubberband hip joints.
- Recently I bought a Big Jim but instead of the ordinaery plastic half sphere hip joints this had a rubber construction that connected the legs with the Body through the hips. Anyone knows what edition it is? The hand grip is Bent and the body mold got made in hong kong imprint and is the ordinary push back button-move arm action. Head mold is a standard Big Jim mold.

- Board Game
- in the early 70's i had a table top putt-putt golf game that had plastic pieces you would add on to make a different putting scene,, it had two hand held putters that where spring loaded so as you pushed down on the top of the putter it would cause the spring pull the putter back until you relesed it to hit the golf ball, i'd say the putting green was about 3 foot long by about 8 inches wide. it was made of metal. ( i think tin ) and on the putting green there were little holes for the plastic pieces to be added or taken off to change to holes.i never seen another one since. thank you for your time. eddie.

- CLOTH CLOWN KIT AND BOOK, 1950s OR 1960s
- When I was a young child in the early-1960s, I remember having a fabric clown assembly kit, with an accompanying book that my parents read to me which contained a story of how someone assembled and played with the same clown. The kit included puffy fabric shapes (they might have been hexagons or circles?) of various colors and perhaps patterns. There were also jingle bells that somehow became part of the clown. The assembling procedure may have involved sewing them. Do you know anything about what I'm describing? My memory cannot recall whether the clown had a name, but the illustrations in the book matched the clown pieces and assembled product. Thanks!

- I purchased a "doll" for my children at the end of the 60's or very early 70's which was, I think, called the invisible woman (or man). It had a clear plastic "skin" that enabled you to see the organs. You were able to remove the skin and take the organs out and replace them back in the correct area. This was very helpful with lab work in school. Can you please tell me the correct name for this "doll" and if it can be purchased anywhere today. Thank you for your assistance. Regards, Maryann

It resembled a sphere sitting ona small pedestal, the top half of the sphere was blue translucent plastic and it folded back into the sphere. - Electronic Puzzle Game
- A few years ago (right around 2000, I think), there was an electronic puzzle game that came out. I had quite a bit of fun with it, however the light sensor on it broke so I was never able to finish it. I have since thrown it away. I was wondering if you could tell me the name of it or where I could get another one. It was pyramid shaped with five colored buttons that lit up. It had a motion sensor and a light sensor. The game was to try and figure out a sequence of inputs that it was expecting (button presses, turn left, turn right, etc). When you got the first in the sequence, the bottom light would light up and you could try to continue. I think it had 5 save spots and 2 spoken hints per sequence. Thanks in advance. Jeff

- Fantasy board game from mid - 1980's
- As a child in the mid-80's I played a board game with my father which neither of us can now remember the name of. I would like to be able to track it down now for my own children. What I can remember of it involves your playing pieces moving through circle shaped spaces through the forest and encountering mythical creatures such as kobolds, orcs, goblins, and minotaurs. I believe if you encountered these creatures there was some sort of penalty, and if you landed on a red circle you had to move your piece back. The details about the rules are fuzzy in my memory, the best I can remember is just the creatures themselves. My searches only turn up d&d references, but this was a child's board game along the lines of Candyland, just with fantasy creatures in a forest. I would love to know what this game was called.

- Marble type magnetic toys with plastic casing
- I'm looking for the name of the toy and the maker of the toy that I played with endlesslly in the mid to late 1980s, possibly as late as 1991. They had a cool name that sounded something like click clacks or klik klaks or something like that. They came on a cardboard backing with a clear plastic front and you could see the marbles individually partitioned off. When you played with them, when two marbles came close enough they'd join up through the magnets and you could create a string of them by sending them at each other one at a time.

- pull - string talking camera toy
- Hi -Don't know if you can help, but I'm surfing the web and found your site (neat stuff!), so I thought I'd ask. I'm looking for the name/maker of a talking pull-string toy camera my sister had when we were kids. I'd love to find another one for her. It dates from the mid-70's, I believe it was lime green and turquoise plastic, and said one of four silly phrases when you pulled the string and (I think) snapped the shutter. It did NOT actually take any photos, like modern 'toy' cameras. One of the silly phrases it said was "Watch The Birdie - CHIRP CHIRP". The 'CHIRP CHIRP' was said in a comically deep voice. It may have had cartoons on it. These are my best recollections of it, thirty years later. If there's one available to buy, I'm interested. If you could just tell me what it's called, I'll look for one on eBay, etc. Any help you could give would be appreciated - thanks for your time!

- Vintage Peter Cottontail
- I have a Petter Cottontail stuffed animal that was my brothers I believe from the late 70's. It is a windup that plays "Here Comes Peter Cottontail" and it moves its head from side to side as it plays. It is about 10" tall, has a stitched nose, and felt 'shoes'. I am looking for a picture of the original so that I can send it to a 'hospital' to get him refurbished. Any information would be great. Thank you!

- white musical box with magnetic dancing ballerina - plays Somewhere my Love
- Back when I younger around 1978, my mother gave me a white musical box with a magnetic dancing ballerina. It was a jewelry box. The inside was divided into two parts. Right side was the mechanism in which the ballerina danced on and the other half was a place to put ur jewelry in. I remember that the surface that the ballerina dance on had pink stripes that moved as the ballerina danced, I got this gift when I was living in the Phillipines. I would really love to find a similar one. That musical box gave me some wonderful memories. Thank you for any input you have.
